Delmar NelsonPublished Wednesday, December 22, 2004 in the Nevada County PicayuneMr. Delmar Dwaine Nelson, 74, of Prescott, died Tuesday, December 14, 2004, in Medical Park Hospital in Hope. He was born February 111, 1930, in Concordia, Kansas to Frank Dwaine Nelson and Alta Bernice French Nelson Rice. He was a carpenter. He was an Air Force Veteran and a Presbyterian. He was preceded in death by two sons, Raymond Cooper and Jerry Cooper. His survivors include: his wife, Marion Nelson of Prescott; six sons, Frank Dwaine Nelson of Arizona, Eugene Cooper of Hope, George Cooper and Jackie Cooper, both of Prescott, John Cooper of Statham, Georgia and James Dickson of Prescott; seven daughters, Venus Stone of Orlando, Florida, Jody Auld of Louisiana, Barbara DiGioia of Tennessee, Ora Faye Griffin of Hope, Helen Foy of Prescott, Betty Ferrell of DeAnn and Patsy Sanford of Prescott; one sister, Darlene Gates of Kansas; 39 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were 2 p.m. Saturday, December 18, 2004, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Neal Ridling officiating. Burial followed in Pleasant Hill cemetery in Prescott. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott. Family received friend Friday, December 18, 2004, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
