Julia Johnson

Julia Mary Johnson was born October 18, 1915 in Lavonia, Louisiana to Bert and Arastilla Bradshaw.

She passed away unexpectedly on Nov. 24 in Woodland, California while visiting for the holiday. She was 89.

Julia was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin C. Johnson. She had made her home with daughter and son-in-law, Waymon and Dorothy Lynch in Pacifica for the last 40 years.

She was the beloved mother of Mary Hopper of Red Bluff, Dorothy Lynch of Pacifica, Doris Ezell of Chidester, Edna Johnson of Pacifica, and Marvin C. Johnson Jr. of San Carlos. She was the grandmother of 14, great-grandmother of 23 and great-great-grandmother of five.

Her sunny outlook on life touched many dear friends and she was known as "Granny" or "Mom" to everyone she knew. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A visitation was held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 2 at the Chapel By the Sea Funeral Home. Funeral services were in the chapel at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 3, with internment at Skylawn Memorail Park.

The family suggests memorial donations in her name to the Second Harvest Food Bank, San Mateo County, 750 Curtner, San Jose, Calif., 95125. Attention: Donor Services.
