Donald WellsPublished Wednesday, December 22, 2004 in the Gurdon TimesDonald E. Wells, 77, of Gurdon, went home to be with the Lord on Dec. 11, 2004. He was a charter member of Center Point Baptist Church, a Veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. Donald was a life-long resident of Clark County. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Bonnie Morrison Wells; a son, Tim Wells and wife, Kay, of Gurdon; three daughters, Donna Paul and husband, Danny, of Gurdon; Brenda McGlothin and husband, Greg, of Arkadelphia; Shelly Foster and husband, Dennis of Gurdon; four brothers, Francis Wells of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; Jimmy Wells of Gurdon; Tommy Wells of Ashdown; and Eugene Wells of Eldorado; two sisters, Pauline Powell of Arkadelphia; and Linda Devault of Gurdon; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grover and Lillie Wells; three brothers, Raymond Wells, Billy Jack Wells and Wayne Wells, his sister, Elsie Wells. Donald will be missed by all who knew him. Services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 13, 2004, in Horne Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Freeling Cower and the Rev. Ray Franklin officiating.
