It's time once again for Breakfast with Santa.

This year's Breakfast with Santa will be Saturday, Dec. 18, from 9-11 a.m. at the Potlatch Building at the Nevada County Fairgrounds. As always, there will be plenty for the children to do to stay busy, including visiting with the jolly old elf. This event is sponsored by the Prescott-Nevada County Chamber of Commerce.

Breakfast will consist of juice and milk along with sausage biscuits and doughnut holes for the youngsters. Coffee will be available for the parents and adults on hand.

Children can have their photo taken with Santa for $2 each.

Other events at Breakfast with Santa include face painting, where children can have a holiday scene painted on their face. They can also make their own Christmas cards to send to friends and family.

There will be a station where children can make one of several types of Christmas ornaments for the tree at home, and, once again, they can decorate a gingerbread house. The gingerbread house decoration event is sponsored by the Bank of Prescott.

Children can take a few minutes to write a letter to jolly old St. Nick and mail it while there. They can also make a "jingle bell" necklace for themselves. There will also be a coloring contest with prizes awarded.

Christmas music will be played during Breakfast with Santa to help keep everyone in the holiday spirit.

One of the most favorite events at Breakfast with Santa is making magic reindeer food. Children tend to flock to this station to make the food which helps Santa's reindeer be able to fly around the world.

There will also be plenty of games, including bowling, a bean bag toss and Christmas Bingo.

The entry fee for Breakfast with Santa is a non-perishable canned food item. The canned goods will be given to a needy family in the area to help it have a brighter holiday season.
