Monteen DavisPublished Wednesday, December 15, 2004 in the Gurdon TimesMyra Marle Hendrix, 39, of Arkadelphia, died on Friday, Dec. 3, 2004, at Baptist Health Center in Arkadelphia. She was born on Dec. 1, 1965, in Arkadelphia, the daughter of the late Lee Guster and Mable Ivory Hendrix. She was a graduate of Arkadelphia Senior High School and a former employee of Western Sizzlin. Survivors include: three sons, Oresenio Hendrix, Markieth Buckley and Dylan Scott, all of Arkadelphia; eight sisters, Claudette Smith of Arkadelphia; Gussle Mitchell of Curtis, Kathy Herron of Little Rock, June Polk of Little Rock; Vanessa Mallett of Detroit, Mich., Alfreda Garland of Arkadelphia, Jennifer Valley of Little Rock and Kimberly Hendrix of Arkadelphia; five brothers, Lee Guster Jr. of Gurdon; Ronald Hendrix of Little Rock; Leo Hendrix of Hot Springs; William Hendrix of Curtis and Mark Osborne of Gum Springs; two aunts, Marcusie Mitchell of Kansas City, Missouri; and Arilla Macon of Malvern; two uncles, Benny Ivory, Lee Ivory of Washington, D.C., and one grandchild. Funeral services were 11 a.m. Saturday in Mt. Friendship Baptist Church in Curtis, with the Rev. Johnny Harris officiating. Burial was in the Curtis Cemetery, under the direction of Williams Funeral Home. Visitation was be from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday and family hour from 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
