James Crabtree Jr.Published Wednesday, December 8, 2004 in the Gurdon TimesJames Madison Crabtree Jr., 86, of Gurdon, died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2004, at his home. He was a retired lineman for the Ozark Border Electric Co-op in Poplar Bluff, Missouri and a US Army Veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife of 65 years of marriage, Frankie Crabtree; his sons, Steven Crabtree of Jackson, Tenn. and John Crabtree of Higginsville, Missouri; a daughter, Joan Egger of Gurdon; a sister, Dorothy Lockman of Memphis, Tenn.; five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one very special great-great-grandson. Graveside services were for 10 a..m. on Friday, Dec. 3, in the Harts Chapel Cemetery. Visitation was 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 2, at the Horne Funeral Home in Gurdon.
