Gloria Whitmore

Gloria J. Whitmore, 63, died Sunday, Nov. 28, 2004.

She was born on Sept. 6, 1941 in Gurdon, Arkansas.

Mrs. Whitmore was employed with Tri-County Community Mental Health for 16 years and retired in 1996.

She was a member of the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, Lansing, Michigan. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Douglas E. and Milton F. Stafford.

Surviving are her husband, Robert L. Whitmore; daughter, Beatrice (Freddie) Nelson of North Little Rock; sons, Stanley (Susie) Bailey of Lansing, Mich. and Michael Harvell of Columbus, Georgia; parents, Ellis and Beatrice Stafford of Gurdon; step-son, Kenneth (Cynthia) Gray of Memphis, Tenn.; stepdaughter, Christy (Marvin) Richmond of Memphis, Tenn.; nine grandchildren; brothers, Harold E. (Velvia) Stafford of Camden, Deleware; Phillip S. (Jeannette) Stafford of Arkadelphia and Michael I. (Gracie) Stafford of Little Rock.

Funeral services were noon, Saturday, Dec. 4, at the Roanoke Baptist Church, Rutherford Road, Gurdon. Interment will be in Greenville Cemetery. The family received friends on Saturday at the church, one hour prior to the service.

The family is being served by the Mitchell Funeral Home, 1809 Caddo Street, in Arkadelphia. The family was also served from the Gorsline-Runciman Company, Lansing Chapel, Michigan Ave., in Lansing, Mich.
