Joel MoorePublished Wednesday, December 1, 2004 in the Nevada County PicayuneMr. Joel D. Moore, 76, of Hope, died Saturday, November 27, 2004, in Medical Park Hospital in Hope. He was born September 12, 1928, in Williamson, West Virginia, to Toliver P. "T.P." Moore and Edna Annie Oglesby Moore. He was a retired pipe-fitter of the Chrysler Corp. and a private pilot. He was a member of Union Baptist Church of Bodcaw, an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, and an Air Force veteran. He was preceded in death by one brother, T.P. Moore, Jr. and by one sister, Lorraine Carlton. His survivors include: his wife of 40 years, Vera G. Moore of Hope; one son, David Lorne Bainbridge and Julie of Taylor, Michigan; three daughters, Merlyn Triplett of Hope, Deborah Ann Fleming and Scott of Wyandott, Michigan, and Jody Lorraine Moore Kendrick and Rev. Jason of Pensacola, Florida; one brother, George Moore and Mary of Hacienda, California; 14 grandchildren, Grace Marie Kendrick, Luke Kendrick, Mark Kendrick, Daniel Kendrick, Emily Kendrick, David Bainbridge, Jr., Keith Baindbridge, Amy Bainbridge, Heather Triplett, Rob LaGrone, Jessie Davis, Debbie Lori Ann Long, Christopher Matthew Hayden, and Scott Fleming; and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services were 6 p.m. Sunday, November 28, 2004, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel in Hope with Rev. Joe Brown officiating. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, December 2, 2004, at Voran Funeral Home Chapel in Taylor, Michigan, with Rev. Edward Crider and Rev. Jason Kendrick officiating. Burial to follow in Michigan Memorial Cemetery in Huron, Michigan. Arrangements by Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope. Family visitation was Sunday, November 28, 2004, from 2-6 p.m. at Brazzel/Oakcrest in Hope and family visitation is Wednesday, December 1, 2004, from 2-6 p.m. at Voran Funeral Home in Taylor, Michigan.
