Tilton ButlerPublished Wednesday, December 1, 2004 in the Nevada County PicayuneTilton Elvern Butler, 85, of Rosston, passed away Friday, November 26, 2004, at his residence in Rosston. He was born May 14, 1919, in Nevada County, to Robert and Myrtle Butler. Mr. Butler was a Welding Supervisor for Elk Roofing Co. He was a member of Evergreen Masonic Lodge #175 for 53 years was and was also a member of Union Baptist Church in Bodcaw. He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Butler. Survivors include: one son, Raymond E. Butler of Camden; three daughters, Linda Buster and Sue Hamilton, both of Bodcaw and Frances Arnold of Norphlet; one sister, Josie Watkins of North Little Rock; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 28, 2004, at the Union Baptist Church with Bro. Joe Brown and Bro. Wayne Langston officiating with burial in the Union Cemetery under the direction of A.O. Smith Funeral Homes. Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, November 27, 2004, at the Smith Funeral Home in Stamps. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Union Baptist Church or Union Cemetery Fund.
