Lela CookPublished Wednesday, December 1, 2004 in the Nevada County PicayuneMrs. Lela Kathryn Morris Cook, 78, of Prescott, died Tuesday, November 23, 2004 at her home. She was born on April 25, 1926, in Nevada County to Isaac and Mattie Neal Morris. She was a homemaker and member of Salem Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert R. Cook, who died December 28, 2003, by two brothers, Gilbert and Pete; and by three sisters, Margaret McElfresh, Marie Prosser, and Sally Garrett. Survivors include: two daughters, Dorothy Wilson and Jerry, and Kathy Trevillion and Bennie all of Prescott; one brother, Billy Morris of Prescott; six grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were 2 p.m. Friday, November 26, 2004, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott, with Rev. Neal Ridling officiating. Burial was in DeAnn Cemetery in Prescott. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott. Family received friends Wednesday, November 24, 2004, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
