Carolyn Staggs

Carolyn Ann Burleson Staggs passed away on Nov. 8, 2004, in Plano, Texas at the age of 70.

She was born on June 2, 1934, in Gurdon to Clinton H. and Martha (Adams) Burleson. Carolyn is survived by her husband, William R. Staggs Jr.; children, William C. Staggs and wife Melissa, Susan C. Noll and husband David, and Jennifer Straub; grandchildren, Holly, Amy, and Clint Staggs, Melanie Noll, and Matthew Straub; and brothers, the Rev. Clint Burleson and Joseph Burleson of Little Rock.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service was to be held in Plano, Texas on Wednesday, Nov. 10, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. Robert Hasley officiating and assisted by the Rev. Holly Bandel at the First United Methodist Church of Plano.

A memorial service was to be held in Gurdon at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 13, at the First United Methodist Church of Gurdon with the Rev. Clint Burleson officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society Children's Fund.

Ted Dickey Funeral Home, Plano, Texas, was in charge of the services.
