Lula FranklinPublished Wednesday, November 17, 2004 in the Nevada County PicayuneMrs. Lula a. Muldrow Franklin, 89, of Prescott, died Monday, November 8, 2004, in Prescott Manor nursing Home, Prescott. She was born April 21, 1915, in Hempstead Co., as the seventh child to Emmanuel Wardie and Hattie Johnson Muldrow. She was a homemaker and housekeeper for the Christopher Family and others. She was a loyal and dedicated member of the Ward Chapel AME Church, Prescott. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Crawford "Heavy" Franklin; her parents, three brothers and three sisters. Although she had no children of her own, she was dedicated to her sisters and brothers and their children. She loved cooking and singing; and socializing with her friends and family. Her survivors include: one brother, Rufus Muldrow of Prescott; three sisters: Cordia Charles of Prescott, Bertha Zachary and Irene Brown both Rockford, Ill.; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends. Funeral services were 1 p.m. Saturday, November 13, 2004, at Ward Chapel AME Church in Prescott, with Rev. Angela Brewster Piggee and Rev. Ivory Curry officiating. Burial followed in DeAnn Cemetery, Prescott. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
