Lena Hendrix

Lena Rae Hendrix, 19, of Harding University in Searcy, passed away Saturday, Oct. 16, in Pike County.

She was born September 24, 1985, in Hope to Kent and Carol Hess Hendrix.

Lena is a 2003 graduate of Nashville High School where she was the class Salutatorian. She has attended Harding University for two years where she is involved in several honor programs. Lena is a member of the KO JO KAI Social Club.

Lena was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Gerald Hendrix and Charles Hess.

Her family includes: her mother and father, Kent and Carol Hendrix of Prescott; a brother, Clayton Hendrix of Prescott; paternal grandmother, Bobbie Hendrix of Antoine; maternal grandparents, Wanda and Roland Bush of Foreman; three uncles and various cousins; and a host of other family and friends to numerous to mention.

Services will be Wednesday, October 20, 2004, at 2 p.m. at Sunset Church of Christ in Nashville with Eulogies being done by special friends and faculty of Harding University in Searcy. Interment will follow in Antoine Cemetery with Wallace Alexander in charge. Arrangements are under the direction of Nashville Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Harding University Scholarship Fund at P.O. Box 12281, Searcy, Ark. 72149 in her memory.

The family received friends at the funeral home Tuesday night from 6-8 p.m.
