Mary GrayPublished Wednesday, October 20, 2004 in the Gurdon TimesMary Frances Rushing Gray, of Gurdon, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, Oct. 9, 2004, at the age of 73. Mrs. Gray taught school in Little Rock, Benton, McGee and Hope Schools. She was a 1952 graduate of Henderson State Teachers College, now Henderson State University. Mary was a long-time member of the First United Methodist Church of Gurdon. She leaves behind to mourn her death, a son, Jim Ed Gray of Little Rock, a sister, Bette DuVall of Benton; a grandson, Jefferson Gray of Springfield, Mo.; a nephew, Rush Du Vall of Muskegon, Mich.; three nieces, Leah Hudspeth of Benton, Nancy Purifoy and Brenda Strachen, both of Gurdon; and her sister-in-law, Billie Marie Moseley of Gurdon. Funeral services were held 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 12, in the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Rusty Jones officiating. Interment was in Rose Hedge Cemetery at Gurdon.
