Plans are in the works for the Artesian Arts League's Sixth Annual Table Topper.

This year's theme is "Fall into ...." Lunch will be served to the guests and there will be entertainment. At this point, Katherine Crain, chairman of the event, is trying to get Chris Olson from KHTV Channel 11, to do a horticulture workshop in conjunction with the Table Topper.

This was decided at the league's regular monthly meeting held Thursday, Sept.23.

Those wanting to sponsor a table at the event should contact Crain at 887-0808. Those who sponsor tables are responsible for their own decorations, dishes, centerpieces and ticket sales. Tickets will be $10 each.

The Table Topper will be held at the City Hall Auditorium Saturday, Nov. 6, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Tables will be in place from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5, for those who want to decorate early.

With the theme "Fall into ..." participants are asked to fill in the blank with their own ideas, such as "Fall into Halloween", or "Fall into Hunting", and decorate accordingly.

China, stoneware or decorative paper plates should be used as place settings. Coffee and tea will be served with the food. The menu will consist of chicken spaghetti, salad and pumpkin desserts.

The arts league will be using 60-inch round tables this year. These tables seat six people comfortably. White tablecloths and napkins can be provided if needed.

Those sponsoring tables are responsible for selling tickets to their table. Guests are asked not to be seated at their tables until 11:30 a.m., but are welcome to arrive anytime after 11 o'clock, Nov. 6, and place their vote for the "People's Choice Award". The winning table will receive $50, which will be presented during lunch.

To sponsor a table, contact Crain by Oct. 22, at 887-0808.

In other business, the league discussed the possibility of a Parade of Homes for the Christmas season, possibly selling tickets for the tours. This will be discussed further at the league's meeting on Oct. 21, at 6:30 p.m.

The league will purchase trick or treat bags for the Third Annual PumpkinFest, but won't have a booth at the event. The bags and decorations will be placed on the CHICS table. CHICS (Citizens Helping Improve Community Standing) is the local organization sponsoring the street festival.
