Lynn Williams Jr.Published Wednesday, September 29, 2004 in the Nevada County PicayuneMr. Lynn "Sawman" Williams, Jr. 81, of Prescott, died Tuesday, September 21, 2004, in Medical Park Hospital in Hope. He was born March 11, 1923, in Clark Co. to Lynn Sr. and Cindy Coker Williams. He was the owner/operator of the former McCullough Chainsaw Shop in Prescott. He was a member of Church of Christ in Prescott. He was an Army Veteran of World War II having served in Italy and Germany and receiving a Purple Heart. He was preceded in death by one son, Joe Williams; and by five brothers and two sisters. His survivors include: wife of 58 years, Freda Trout Williams of Prescott; one daughter, Dora Fuqua of Nashville, Tenn.; five grandchildren, Joey Williams, Kevin Williams, Shelley Williams, Altie Jordan and Dayna Fuqua; and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services were 2 p.m. Thursday, September 23, 2004, at Prescott Church of Christ in Prescott with Mr. Howard Horton and Mr. Lynn Vanderveer officiating. Burial followed in Jones Cemetery in Amity. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott. Family received friends Wednesday, September 22, 2004, from 7-8:30 p.m. at Brazzel/Cornish.
