Kotonya PorterPublished Wednesday, September 29, 2004 in the Gurdon TimesKotonya Porter, 35, of Gurdon died Sept. 15, 2004, at her home. She was born Feb. 4, 1969, in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of Effie Porter and Simon Terry. She was a former employee of Petit Jean Poultry and attended Mt. Canaan Baptist Church. Survivors include: Her mother and stepfather, Effie and Carl Johnson of Gurdon; her father, Simon Terry of Chicago, Ill.; three children, Lauren E. Hartsfield, James R. Hartsfield Jr. and Natasha E. Hamilton of Gurdon; two brothers, Kenneth L. Porter of Madison, Wis., and Carl M. Johnson of Gurdon; three sisters, Patrina M. Porter of Gurdon, Natasha Porter of Chicago, Ill., and Precious E. Johnson of Los Angeles, Calif. Funeral was 1 p.m. Wednesday at Mt. Canaan Baptist Church of Gurdon with Rev. Johnny Harris officiating.
