Elsie ClarkPublished Wednesday, September 29, 2004 in the Gurdon TimesMrs. Elsie Jones Clark, 94, of Okolona, died Friday, September 17, 2004, in Twin Rivers Health and Rehab Center. She was born December 30, 1909, in Clark County, the daughter of the late Sanford and Evie Newton Jones. She was a homemaker, member of Southfork Extension Homemakers Club, former member of Arkey Stars Club, CD & E Club of Gurdon, and a member of Center Grove United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Paul D. Clark and one grandson, Clark McGill. Survivors include: two daughters, Frances McGill of Okolona and Patsy Davila of Georgetown, Ken.; five grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services were 4 p.m. Sunday, September 19, 2004, at Center Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Ron Grigsby officiating. Interment in Center Ridge Cemetery. Family hours were 7-8:30 p.m. Saturday evening at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home of Arkadelphia. Memorials may be made to Center Grove United Methodist Church of Center Ridge Cemetery Fund.
