Daisy PercellPublished Wednesday, September 22, 2004 in the Nevada County PicayuneMrs. Daisy Pearl Newth Percell, 90, of Hope, died Thursday, September 16, 2004, in Christus St. Michael Health System, Texarkana, Texas. She was a seamstress and a homemaker. Her early life was spent following in her father's footsteps. He was a photographer in Prescott. On December 25, 1937, she married Edward Preston Percell and they made their home in Hope. She was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband of 45 years, Ed Percell; by her step-mother, Audra Newth; and by a sister, Louise England. Her survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Judy Duke and Bruce of Hope; one granddaughter and husband, Lynn Malone and Christ of Hope; one grandson and wife, David Duke and Carol of Magnolia; five great-grandchildren, Will, Kaitlyn, Karley, Kyle, and Garrett; one step-brother, Alvin Earl Carrington of Memphis, Tenn. Graveside services were 10 a.m. Saturday, September 18, 2004, at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Hope, with Rev. Larry Ott officiating. Burial followed. Arrangements by Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope. Family received friends Friday, September 17, 2004, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Oakcrest.
