Wolf link team undefeated in league play

Prescott's senior boy's golf team is off to a 2-0 start in conference play.

The Wolves opened league play Sept. 1 at the Prescott Country Club by beating Nashville, Gurdon and Bismarck. Prescott's team shot a 110. Nashville was next with a 113, followed by Gurdon's 137 and Bismarck's 138.

On the girl's side, Prescott and Nashville tied with 139 scores.

Misty Avery was the medalist for Prescott with a 46 on nine holes.

Drew Richards was medalist for the boys with his 33 over the front nine. Ben Hale was next at 37, with Roman Richards following at 40. Gavin McCauley shot a 41, Chase Haynes shot 46, Matthew Haynie had a 47, Josh Plunkett had a 51, with Cody Camp at 52 and Bobby Cornish at 61.

The Wolves beat De Queen and Mena at the Prescott Country Club on Sept. 8. Once again Prescott shot 110 overall. Mena followed with a 122 while De Queen was third at 124.

On the girl's side, De Queen won with a 160, with Prescott second at 165. Mena had a 173.

Avery led the Wolverettes with a 54.

Hale paced the Wolves with a 36, followed by a 37 for both Drew and Roman Richards. McCauley shot a 43, while Haynes and Camp shot 46 each. Plunkett had a 48, with Haynie turning in a score of 50. Cornish shot a 53.
