Golden OldiesDoris VancePublished Wednesday, March 31, 1999 in the Gurdon Times The Gurdon Senior Adult Center was a busy place last week. USDA commodities were issued March 23 and March 24. Lloyd Baumgardner sang for the center on March 24. We wish to thank the volunteers who have been helping with meals to the homebound. We have some who are going on the routes at least two days a week. The birthdays for March will be honored next week. Those with birthdays are Mary McBride, Arlie Craig, Monteen Davis, Louisa Armstrong, Syble Allen, Watson Smith, Gene Barton, Lockie Golden, Celia Acrey, Lloyd Baumgardner, Allene Horne, Jimmy Lee Stiffler, Winnie Williams, W.S. Ritchie, Thelma Mizell, Willie E. Jones, Joe Welch, Birdie McKin, George Dixon, Perry McClelland and Elvin McBride. Happy birthday to all.
