Maxine CummingsPublished Wednesday, September 15, 2004 in the Nevada County PicayuneMrs. Maxine Cummings, 80, of Prescott, died Monday, September 6, 2004, at Prescott Manor Nursing Center in Prescott. She was born October 17, 1923, in Wisdom, Kentucky, to Will and Nellie Enis Pedigo. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Prescott Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Brooks Cummings; and by one daughter, Christi Cummings. Her survivors include: two sons, Brooks "Sonny" Cummings of Long Beach, Calif. and Patrick Cummings of Oakland, Calif.; two daughters, Debbie Brannan and John and Nancy Stockton and Larry all of Prescott; one brother, Harvey Pedigo of Glasgow, Ken.; four grandchildren, Toddy Cummings of Bossier City, La., Susan Brannan Welch of Bryant, Matt Brannan of Prescott and Clint Stockton of Arkadelphia; and two great-grandchildren, Dallas and Conner Cummings of Bossier City, La. Funeral services were 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 8, 2004, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Jerry G. Westmoreland and Mr. Howard Horton officiating. Burial followed in Liberty Cemetery, Redland Community of Prescott. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
