Winfred NeatheryPublished Wednesday, September 8, 2004 in the Gurdon TimesWinfred C. Neathery, 95, of Whelen Springs, died Sunday, Aug. 29, 2004. He was the retired owner of Neathery's Grocery, a member of Whelen Springs Baptist Church and a Deacon, a Mason and a member of Lodge #187 in Gurdon. He was the assistant Postmaster of Whelen Springs and a former justice of the peace. Survivors include: a daughter, Carol Horton and her husband Doug, of Camden; two grandchildren, Shari Parker of Arkadelphia and Douglas Horton Jr. of Camden; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2004, in Horne Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Len Fryar officiating.
