Willie CrossPublished Wednesday, July 28, 2004 in the Nevada County PicayuneWillie Chamberlain Cross, 97, of El Dorado, died Monday, July 19, 2004, at Hudson Memorial Nursing Home. She was born December 5, 1906, in Rosston. Her parents are Samuel Chamberlain and Lenore (Atkins) Chamberlain. She was a homemaker and member of Parkers Chapel United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Marion Cross, her parents, daughter-in-law Jeanett Cross, granddaughter Lisa Cross Kiplinger, brothers, Veul, Cleave and Terrel Chamberlain and one sister, Velma Hart. Survivors include: one son, Bobby Cross of El Dorado; one brother, W.F. Chamberlain of El Dorado, two grandchildren, Robert E. and Christa Cross of Fenton, Mo. and Beverly Weinberg of El Dorado; five great-grandchildren, Becky Moore, Amanda Davis, Tiffany Weinberg, Paul Messel and Aaron Messel; nine great-great-grandchildren, David, Joshua, Taylor, Caleb, Cameron, Jacob, Kelsey, Starlyn and Zane; a number of nephews, nieces and other relatives. Services were 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 21, 2004, at Young's Chapel with Rev. Jim Cross and Rev. Richard Knott officiating. Burial was in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in El Dorado. Visitation was Tuesday, July 20, 2004, 6-8 p.m. Memorials go to Community Hospice, 1426 North West Avenue, El Dorado, Ark. 71730, American Cancer Society c/o 2300 West Main El Dorado, Ark. 71730 or donor's choice.
