James CummingsPublished Wednesday, July 21, 2004 in the Nevada County PicayuneMr. James H. "Booger Red" Cummings, 80, of Prescott, died Thursday, July 15, 2004, at his home. He was born on February 20, 1924, in Nevada County to Robert Lloyd and Eunice Munn Cummings. He was a retired Arkansas Game and Fish Wildlife Officer and a farmer. He was an Army Veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce Benson Cummings. His survivors include: his wife, Peggy Love Cummings of Prescott; four sons, Keith Cummings and Martha of Prescott, Hal Cummings of White Oak Lake, Bob Cummings and Lori of Prescott, and Ricky Cummings of Prescott; one daughter, Mary Cummings Godwin and Edd of Prescott; two step-sons, Steve Alsobrook of Sparkman and Rick Alsobrook and Kitty Sparkman; one brother, R. L. Cummings of Prescott; three sisters, Polly Powers of Palm Desert, Calif. and Regina Cole of Rolling Hills, Calif.; six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter with another great-granddaughter due in August. Funeral service were 2 p.m. Sunday, July 18, 2004, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel, Prescott, with Rev. Jerry G. Westmoreland officiating. Burial followed in Bluff City Cemetery, Bluff City. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home, Prescott. Family received friends Saturday, July 17, 2004, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Cornish.
