Emogene Kinder

Emogene Jones Kinder of Gurdon departed this life in Arkadelphia on Sunday, July 11, 2004, at the age of 77.

She was born Oct. 30, 1926, in Tuckerman to the late Marion and Retha Taylor Isbell.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed cooking, watching her soap operas, flea marketing and garage sales.

Survivors include her husband, W.C. Kinder of Gurdon; six sons, Gene Kinder and Frankie Kinder, both of Gurdon, Eddie Kinder of Arkadelphia, Johnny Kinder of Bismarck, Charles Kinder of Tuckerman and Bill Kinder of Rockford, Ill.; three daughters, Joyce Clark of Alexander, Betty Joyner of El Dorado and Wanda Ellis of Vilonia; one half brother; two half sisters; 22 grandchildren including Terri McClure of Gurdon, who she raised; and 24 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m. July 14, 2004, at Jackson's Newport Funeral Home Chapel with Brother David Decker officiating. Burial was at Swifton Cemetery in Swifton.
