Donnie PrewittPublished Wednesday, June 9, 2004 in the Nevada County PicayuneDonnie Lee Prewitt, 56, of Prescott, died Monday, May 31, 2004, at Wadley Regional Medical Center in Texarkana losing his battle with liver disease. Mr. Prewitt was born on June 23, 1947, in Prescott to Robert Lee Prewitt and Willie Mae Blankenship Prewitt Arnold. He was raised by his grandparents, Willie and Bursie Blankenship. He was a construction/concrete worker and retired from A&B Concrete Coring Co., of Baton Rouge, La., after more than 30 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and two brothers, Robert and Ritchie Blankenship. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Charlotte Kay Tippitt Prewitt of Prescott; one son, Todd Prewitt and Brenda Prewitt of Prescott; one daughter, Kimberly Prewitt Cox and Jason of Prescott; three brothers, Billy Blankenship and Diane of Ashdown, Jimmy Blankenship and Almeda of Jacksonville and Randy Arnold and Cruz of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Joyce Ray and Vernon, and Darlene Ray and Darrell all of Sparkman; one sister-in-law, Joy Blankenship of Chidester; four grandchildren, Cody Prewitt, Chase Cox, Colby Cox and Haley Cox; step-father, Randolph Arnold of Camden and a host of nieces and nephews and a multitude of friends. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, June 3, 2004, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry G. Westmoreland, Rev. Neal Ridling and Rev. Marvin Launius officiating.
