Phillip Coplen

Phillip L. Coplen, 54, of Houston, Texas, formerly of Gurdon, died Saturday, May 1, 2004, in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia. Phillip was a Construction Services Manager for ABB Lummus Global.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Eckert Coplen of Houston; one son, Brett Coplen of Houston; one daughter, Julie Coldwell of Arkansas City, Kansas; two grandchildren, Jessica, Conner and Alexis Coldwell; his mother, Mary Coplen Wingfield of Arkadelphia; two brothers, Robert L. and Charles Coplen, both of Gurdon; and five sisters, Sherry Callison of Donaldson, Ruthie Bridges of Hollywood, Cynthia Davidson of Arkadelphia, Mary Ellen Barfield of Nashville and Barbara Coplen of Arkadelphia.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wilbur "Bill" Coplen.

Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 19, at Rose Hill Cemetery, Arkadelphia. Arrangements were by Horne Funeral Home of Gurdon.
