Kathryn DanielPublished Wednesday, May 5, 2004 in the Nevada County PicayuneKathryn W. Daniel, 75, of Prescott died Saturday, May 1, 2004, at Christus St. Michael System of Texarkana, Texas. Mrs. Daniel was born on March 11, 1929, in Double Springs, Alabama to Frank B. Wood and Evelyn VanSlike Wood Moncrief. She was a homemaker member of the First Presbyterian Church of Prescott. She graduated with her bachelor of arts from Henderson State University in Arkadelphia. She was preceded in death by her husband, E.H. Daniel; by one son, Dwayne Daniel and by one brother, Frank Wood. Survivors include three sons, Duncan H. Daniel of Laneburg, Dale E. Daniel and Dot of Prescott and O.D. Daniel of Tyler, Texas; one daughter, Kathryn E. Hopkins and John of Prescott; one brother, Eugene W. Wood of Long Grove, Okla., one sister-in-law, Florence Wood of Evansville, Indiana; and eight grandchildren, Alan Daniel, Kelsey Hopkins, Haley Daniel, Morgan Daniel, Darby Daniel, Ben Martin, David Daniel and Dana Daniel. Graveside services were held Monday, May 3, at Laneburg Cemetery of Laneburg with Rev. Robin Nygaard officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.
