Helen McBride Cox Kelley, 79, of Hope, formerly of Prescott and Bluff City, died Tuesday, April 27, 2004, at Heather Manor Nursing and Rehab in Hope.

Mrs. Kelley was born on August 6, 1924, in Nevada County to Owen and Maudie Rodgers McBride.

She was a homemaker and mother. She was a Christian, a member of Bluff City Homemakers Club and a fisherman. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Howard Cox; by her parents; by four brothers, Ennis, Herman, Dan and Jimmy McBride and by two sisters, Vollie Campbell and Ollie Mae Johnson.

Survivors include her husband, Olen Kelley of Bluff City; one son, Scott Cox of Prescott; one daughter, Kay Nelson of Bluff City; one step-daughter, Brenda Brown of Little Rock; one sister, Pauline Crouse of Texarkana, Texas; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Thursday, April 29, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott with Mr. Harley Sisson officiating. Burial followed in the Friendship Cemetery in Cale under the direction of Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.
