Temperatures in March ranged from a low of 34 to a high of 82, according to weather watcher Phillip McAdams.

The high temperature was recorded on March 20, the first day of Spring, while the low came on March 10-11.

While it seemed to have rained a lot in March, the actual rainfall total shows 3.22 inches fell, with the most significant coming between March 3-5, when 1.72 inches fell.

It was drier in the southern part of the county, according to meteorologist Davis Benton, who said Cale received 2.93 inches, which is about an inch below normal.

For the year, Benton said, 14.83 inches of rain has fallen in the south part of Nevada County, and this is about normal.

Benton said the highest temperature recorded in Cale was 85, while the low was 32.

McAdams said the average daily high was 70 degrees in March, while the average daily low was 47 degrees.
