Nellie HisawPublished Wednesday, April 7, 2004 in the Gurdon TimesNellie Otwell Hisaw, 78, of Gurdon died Sunday. She was a retired employee of International Paper Company, a homemaker and a member of Beech Street Baptist Church in Gurdon. Survivors include her niece and caregiver, Alma Otwell Holbrook and husband Homer, of Little Rock; her stepson Kendall Hisaw and wife, Viola of Morgan City, La.; and a stepdaughter, Amelia Ligon and husband Billy of Meridian, Miss; she was also survived by 10 nieces and nephews and several step grandchildren, step-great grandchildren and step-great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with interment at the Brown Cemetery in Beirne by Horne Funeral Home in Gurdon.
