Lona Haynie

Lona Eudora Howell Haynie, 91 of Gurdon, daughter of Zack and Alice Jones, died Sunday, February 15, 2004.

She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Gurdon.

She is survived by a son, Doyle B. Haynie and wife Jean of Gurdon; two daughters, Billie Jean Webb and husband Roy Lee of Little Rock and Shirley Ann Francis and husband Billy of Gurdon; one stepdaughter, Barbara Jean Morgan; grandsons, Bobby Mathis, Bruce Haynie and wife Debbie,, Kenny Haynie and Mark Francis; granddaughters, Quana Moore and husband Bruce, Carolyn Rasner, Marsha Garner and husband David; great-grandchildren, Jennifer, Shane, Jeremy, Justin, Melia, Sarah, Tiffany, Patrick, Lindsey, Jason, Megan and Cody; great-great-granchildren, Kate, Braxton, Caleb, Kaylee, Kaylin, Jaylin, Ashton and Torin.

A special thanks goes to her caregiver, Susan Williams.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Zack and Alice Howell, spouse, John Doyle Haynie, brother, Carl Howell, sister, Utah Burnley, two daughters, Sarah Jane and Carolyn Sue, and two grandsons, Randy Haynie and Billy Joe Francis.

Funeral services were 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2004, at the First Baptist Church with Rev. James Raines officiating. Burial was in the Rose Hedge Cemetery under the direction of Horne Funeral Home of Gurdon.

Pallbearers were: Bruce Moore, Jeremy Moore, Justin Haynie, Patrick Haynie and Shane Gummersom.
