Syble BrownPublished Wednesday, February 4, 2004 in the Nevada County PicayuneMrs. Syble M. Hooks Brown, 82, of Prescott, died Sunday, February 1, 2004, at Medical Park Hospital. She was born on May 11, 1921 in Piney Grove Community of Prescott. She was a homemaker and mother. She was a member of Assembly of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Brown, in August of 1999. Survivors include: one son, James Roy Brown of Prescott; two daughters, Johnnie Jo Brown of Houston, Tex., and Judy Allen of Prescott; one brother, Willie Hooks of Prescott; three sisters, Katie Holder of Port Arthur, Tex., and Margie and Mary Ann Lucas both of Prescott; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 4, 2004, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott, with Rev. Al Womack officiating. Burial to follow in Piney Grove Cemetery in Prescott. Family will receive friends Tuesday, February 3, 2004, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Piney Grove Cemetery Fund, c/o Patricia Ingersoll, 212 Nevada 251, Prescott, Ark. 71857.
