Nancy Rutherford

Nancy Jo Rutherford 66 of Okolona died Tuesday, January 27, 2004.

She was a retired cook for the Baptist Hospital and Hospitality Care center in Arkadelphia. She was also a devoted member of the Okolona Baptist Church.

She was the daughter of Bedford and Edna Wells, born September 14, 1937 in Gurdon.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Rutherford of Okolona; two sons, Eddie Rutherford of Malvern, and Chuck Rutherford of Okolona; two daughters, Myra Springer and Teresa McMahan both of Friendship; one brother, Buddy Wells of Arkadelphia; one sister, Louise Presson of Prescott; grandchildren, Angie Starkey of Donaldson, Kim Walker of Arkadelphia, Melissa Johnson of Malvern, Shauna Harper of Malvern, John C. McBride of Donaldson, Jessica Manning of Friendship, Bryan Rutherford of Okolona, Josh McMahan of Friendship, Anthony Springer of Friendship and Evan Rutherford of Okolona;

great-grandchildren: Kyle Walker of Arkadelphia, Haley Starkey of Donaldson, Cody Harper of Malvern, Peyton Manning of Friendship, Logan Starkey of Donaldson and Jackson Manning of Friendship; gandson-in-aws, daughter-in-laws, and son-in-laws, and granddaughter-in-laws that she really loved.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Jim Wells, Bobby Wells, and Jay Wells, and a sister, Betty Ledbetter.

Graveside services were 2 p.m. on January 28, 2004, at the Southfork Cemetery with Bro. Charlie Williams officiating. Arrangements were made by the Horne Funeral Home of Gurdon. Memorials may be made to the Okolona Baptist Church.
