May Bell Green, 83, of Magnolia, died Tuesday, January 20, 2004, at Magnolia City Hospital.

She was born May 7, 1920, in Nevada County to the late Luchus Berry and Tina Green.

She was a homemaker; a member of Antioch West Baptist Church and a former Sunday School teacher.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Terry Michael Green; three brothers, Lonnie, Iman Lee and James Green; one daughter-in-law, Bobbie Green and a granddaughter, Sheena Green.

Survivors include her husband, Bennie Green of Magnolia; six sons, Brady Green and wife Bernice of Hope, Arlen Green of Horseshoe Bend, Richard Green of Magnolia, Charlie Green and wife Mary of Waldo, Johnny Green and wife Paige of Magnolia, Randy Green and wife Kathy of Magnolia; two daughters, Shirley Howe and husband Jewell of Smackover, Betty Eades and husband Laurence of Daingerfield, Tex.; one brother, Homer Green and wife Janice of Cale; four sisters, Vernell Loe and husband Olan of Bluff City, Betty Tomlin and husband Denton of Hope, Marie Bussell and husband Kenneth of Camden, and Helen May of Cale; 24 grandchildren, Debbie Paige and husband Russell, and Donna Adams and husband Michael all of Hope, Dennis Green and wife Kelly of Willisville, Diann Dyer and husband Jimmy, Pam Taylor and husband Jimmy, David Green and wife Vonda, Danny Green and wife Angela and Douglas Green all of Hope, Tom Green of Atkins, Ric Green and wife Tonja of Magnolia, Belinda King of Smackover, Nina Baker and husband Frank of Longview, Tex., Melissa Trice and husband James of Texarkana, Tex., Jessie Paul Eades of Daingerfield, Tex., Teresa Langley and husband Dwayne and John Michael Green all of Magnolia, Loach and husband Scott of Waldo, Daniel Green and wife Mary Ellen, Samantha Green, Jessica Green, and Michael Green, David Green, Mandy Green and April Green all of Magnolia; 20 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral services were Thursday, January 22, 2004, at 2 p.m. at Lewis Chapel. Bro. Jim Sayers officiated. Burial followed in Morris Cemetery near Cale. Visitation was at Lewis Funeral Home Wednesday, January 21, from 6-8 p.m. Memorials may be made to Antioch West Baptist Church.
