Katherine Kalba

Mrs. Katherine Kalba, 78, of Prescott, died Tuesday, January 20, 2004, in Christus St. Michael Hospital in Texarkana, Tex.

She was born November 4, 1925, in DeWitt to Cecil and Ola Jacobs Huddleston.

She was a teller with Southwest Federal Savings and Loan and also the Bank of Delight. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Prescott and their XYZ Club. She was also a member of Submarine Veterans of WWII Ladies Auxiliary and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary of Prescott.

She was preceded in death by one son, Gary Lee Kalba, and by her parents.

Her survivors include: her husband of 57 years, Charles Kalba of Prescott; two daughters, Kathy Stephenson of Prescott and Karen Morrow and Steve of Hope; seven grandchildren, Anne Williams and Chris, Kyle Beebe and Jennifer, Chris Stephenson, Katie Revels and Kevin, Mikki Brown and T.J., Karen Phillips and Joe, and Jennifer Davidson; and two great-grandchildren, Shawn and Micayala.

Funeral services were 2 p.m. Thursday, January 22, 2004, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott with Rev. Jim Lenderman officiating. Graveside services were 2 p.m. Friday, January 23, 2004, at DeWitt Cemetery in DeWitt. Burial followed. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.

Family received friends Wednesday, January 21, 2004, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Cornish.
