Janice Porter

Janice Caudle Porter, 67, of Bodcaw, died January 19, 2004, at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock.

She was a bookkeeper for Bodcaw and Nevada Schools and secretary and recorder for City of Bodcaw, and treasurer for the Bodcaw and Waterloo Water System. She was born December 31, 1936 in Bodcaw. She was a member of Bodcaw Baptist Church in Bodcaw. She was the daughter of Austin and Irba Boswell Caudle.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jackie Porter and a grandson, David Porter.

Survivors include: one son, Bruce and wife Teresa Porter of Hope; two daughters, Lisa McCain and husband Rick of Bodcaw and Susan Baker and husband David of El Dorado; one brother, Bobby Caudle of Bodcaw; two sisters, Naomi Butler and Betty Brown of Bodcaw; seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services were Wednesday, January 21, 2004, at 2 p.m. in the Bodcaw Baptist Church in Bodcaw. Rev. Jerry Evans officiating with burial in the Union Cemetery in Bodcaw.

Visitation was 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2004, at the funeral home.
