Ruby BuiePublished Wednesday, January 21, 2004 in the Nevada County PicayuneRuby Ann Buie, of Prescott, passed away in Prescott Manor Nursing Home on Monday, January 12, 2004, at the age of 100. Mrs. Buie was born on October 3, 1903, in Okolona, the daughter of Jodie and Nettie (Rowe) Witherspoon. She was united in marriage to Charles Edward Buie, Sr., who preceded her in death. Mrs. Buie was a salesperson, homemaker, and member of the Church of Christ in Prescott. She was preceded in death by husband, Charles Edward; one sister, three brothers, two sons, Charles Buie, Jr. and Thomas Buie; and two daughters-in-law, Helen Buie and Elizabeth Buie. Survivors include: one son, Lonnie Louis Buie of Prescott; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, and 16 great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services were Wednesday, January 14, 2004, at 10:30 a.m. at DeAnn Cemetery with Howard Horton officiating. Under the direction of Shackelford Funeral Home of Prescott.
