Charles Carlton

Charles Norman Carlton, 75, passed away December 25, 2003, in a Ft. Worth, Texas Hospital.

Mr. Carlton was born November 10, 1928, in Hope, to Charlie and Otto Lee Carlton.

He was the retired manager of the National Laundry Co. in Hope, a veteran of WWII, and a member of the Union Baptist Church in Bodcaw and was a Mason.

Survivors include, two sons, Bobby Carlton and Ronnie Carlton both of Emmet; three brothers, H.E. Carlton and J.H. Carlton both of Emmet and W.H. Carlton of Houston, Tex.; two sisters, Nita Ho of Bodcaw and Marie Tye of El Dorado; two grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Funeral services were Saturday, December 27, 2003, at 10 a.m. at the Union Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe Brown officiating. Burial was in the Union Cemetery under the direction of the Smith Funeral Home of Stamps.
