Charles CarltonPublished Wednesday, December 31, 2003 in the Nevada County PicayuneCharles Norman Carlton, 75, passed away December 25, 2003, in a Ft. Worth, Texas Hospital. Mr. Carlton was born November 10, 1928, in Hope, to Charlie and Otto Lee Carlton. He was the retired manager of the National Laundry Co. in Hope, a veteran of WWII, and a member of the Union Baptist Church in Bodcaw and was a Mason. Survivors include, two sons, Bobby Carlton and Ronnie Carlton both of Emmet; three brothers, H.E. Carlton and J.H. Carlton both of Emmet and W.H. Carlton of Houston, Tex.; two sisters, Nita Ho of Bodcaw and Marie Tye of El Dorado; two grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Funeral services were Saturday, December 27, 2003, at 10 a.m. at the Union Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe Brown officiating.
