Hubert Cook

Mr. Hubert R. Cook, 82, of Prescott, died Sunday, December 28, 2003, at his home.

He was born January 30, 1921, in Nevada County, to George W. and Susie C. Andrews Cook.

He was a retired owner/operator of Hubert Cooks Body Shop. He was a member and deacon of Salem Baptist Church of Prescott.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Roy Lee Cook.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Lela Kathryn Morris Cook of Prescott; two daughters, Dorothy Wilson and Jerry, and Kathy Trevillion and Bennie all of Prescott; one sister, Revon Thompson of Prescott; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service were 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2003, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott, with Rev. Neal Ridling officiating. Burial to follow in DeAnn Cemetery in Prescott. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.

Family received friends Monday, December 29, 2003, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home.

Norman Gill

Mr. Norman Rance Gill, 61, of Camden, formerly of Prescott and Little Rock, died Thursday, December 25, 2003, at his home.

He was born September 11, 1942, in Prescott to Rance and Mozelle Watkins Gill.

He was a retired carrier with the U. S. Postal Service. He was a member of Shady Grove Church of Prescott, a member of the National Association of Postal Letter Carriers Association, and a Navy veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and by his wife, Carol Richar.

Survivors include, two sisters, Carolyn Cullins of Alexander and Jackie Lucas and Doyle of Redfield; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 28, 2003, at Shady Grove Baptist Church in Prescott with Rev. Mike Taylor officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery in Camden. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
