Jimmy PurifoyPublished Wednesday, December 24, 2003 in the Gurdon TimesJimmy L. Purifoy, 50, of Benton died Wednesday, December 17. Jimmy was a music teacher at Watson Elementary School in Little Rock and a member of Eagle Point Church of God in Little Rock. Jimmy is survived by one son, Jarrod Purifoy; and one daughter, Lori Purifoy both of Benton; one brother Douglas Purifoy of Little Rock; one sister Janet Toland of Gurdon; and his father, R.E. "Buster" Purifoy; and stepmother Ollie Mae Purifoy of Gurdon. Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday morning at the First Church of God in Gurdon, with interment in Richwoods Cemetery by Horne Funeral Home of Gurdon.
