Lloyd DodwellPublished Wednesday, December 17, 2003 in the Gurdon TimesLloyd Dodwell, 75, of Gurdon died Saturday, December 13. Mr. Dodwell was a retired flooring supervisor for International Paper Company and a member of the Beirne Baptist Church in Beirne. Survivors include his devoted wife of 53 years, Betty Elmore Dodwell; one daughter Debbie Gaither and husband Alan of Arkadelphia; three brothers, Lewis Dodwell of Amity, Bobby Dodwell of Hot Springs and Tommy Dodwell of Bearden; two sisters, Lorene Williams of Arkadelphia and Sylvia Thomas of Garland, Texas; two grandchildren, Susan Bracy and husband Kevin and Teresa Shettles; two great-grandchildren, Cody Shettles and Cameron Bracy; and one special niece, Kirby Sandidge. He was preceded in death by one son, Ronald Dodwell. Funeral services were Tuesday, December 16, at 2 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home Chapel interment in the Brown Cemetery by Horne Funeral Home of Gurdon.
