Leamon WreyfordPublished Wednesday, December 3, 2003 in the Nevada County PicayuneMr. Leamon Kivet Wreyford, 78, a longtime resident of Hope, passed away Sunday, November 30, 2003,in a Prescott nursing home. He was born March 15, 1925, in Columbia County to Luther and Bessie Wreyford. He was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Hope, past Commander of the V.F.W. in Hope, a retired butcher, and a decorated combat Veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by grandson, Jeffery Scott Palmer. Survivors include his wife, Hazel Own Wreyford of Shreveport, La.; one daughter and son-in-law, Johnnie and Fred Palmer of Shreveport, La.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Kivet Edward and Lois Wreyford of and Ronnie and Laura Wreyford all of Hope; 11 grandchildren; one niece and one nephew. Graveside services will held Wednesday, December 3, 2003, at the Shiloh Lamartine Cemetery, near Waldo at 10 a.m. Visitation was at the Smith Funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2.
