Gold Tigers Meet April 16Published Wednesday, April 7, 1999 in the Gurdon TimesThe Former Students Association of Ouachita Baptist University will host its annual Gold Tiger Club meeting on April 16 at Evans Student Center (ESC). The club gathers annually to honor the 50th year reunion of that year's Ouachita graduating class. This year, the OBU graduating class of 1949 will be feted, along with members of all other earlier Gold Tiger Club year classes. Approximately 125 class members and their spouses and guests are expected for the event. Registration will take place at 10:30 a.m. in the lobby of ESC. A Gold Tiger luncheon is set for 12 noon in the ESC banquet room. Randy Garner, assistant to the president for enrollment management and director of alumni affairs, will be the emcee for the event. Dr. Andrew Westmoreland, president of OBU, will address the group. Participants will attend the campus musical production of 'My Fair Lady' that evening at 7:30 in Jones Performing Arts Center.
