Travis Bailey

Mr. Travis Bailey, 58, of Delight, died Tuesday, October 28, 2003, at Pike County Memorial Hospital in Murfreesboro.

He was born on December 6, 1945, in Piney Community of Pike County.

He was a self employed building contractor. He attended the Crossroads Assembly of God Church in Delight and was an Army veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Bill and Teddy Bailey; one sister, Mary Jo Hill; and one daughter, Jannita Royce Bailey.

Survivors include five daughters: Shawna Smillie of Antoine, Samantha Cheek of Omaha, Tracy Watts and Rex of Delight, Terri Hawkins and Shawn of Prescott, Betty Hendrix and Brian of Prescott; and son-in-law, David Smillie; one brother, Ray Bailey of Delight; three sisters, Joy Hill of Delight, and Faye Cheek and Syble Lewallen, both of Antoine; 17 grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were 2 p.m. Thursday, October 30, 2003, at Crossroad Assembly of God Church in Delight, with Rev. Danny Eckert officiating. Burial was in Bowen Cemetery in Pike County. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.

Family received friends Wednesday, October 29, 2003, from 4-7 p.m. at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
