Lorayne LewingPublished Wednesday, October 29, 2003 in the Nevada County PicayuneMrs. Lorayne Maroon Lewing, 75, of Emmet, died Monday, October 20, 2003, at her home. She was born March 16, 1928, in Nashville, to Christopher C. and Coralie Erwin Maroon. She was an insurance and medical secretary. She was a member of Emmet First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband, Frank Lewing. Her survivors include, two aunts, Faye Maroon and Maggie Maroon of Nashville; a number of cousins; other relatives and friends. Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, October 24, 2003, at Sardis Cemetery in Hempstead County with Rev. Johnny Jackson officiating. Burial followed. Arrangements were under the direction of Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Building Fund, c/o Ann Booker, P.O.
