Gurdon resident arrested for marijuana possession

According to a press release received from the Clark County Sheriff's office on Monday, October 20, an investigation conducted by the Clark County Sheriff's Office and Group 6 Narcotics Enforcement Unit resulted in the arrest of three persons on the afternoon of Friday, October 17.

Sheriff's deputies and narcotics agents executed a search warrant upon a residence located on Central Road in Gurdon in the Curtis community. The search yielded an estimated 3/4 pound of marijuana.

Arrested were Scott Cargine, 21, Gary Watts, 18, both of Curtis and Katy Crawford, 33, of Gurdon.

Cargine and Watts were booked into the Clark County Detention Center on a single count each of felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and subsequently released pending filing of formal charges.

Crawford was booked on single counts each of misdemeanor possession of an instrument of crime and possession of a controlled substance. She was released on citation pending appearance in District Court.

The investigation of the case conducted over an extended period of time, after Sheriff Troy Tucker had received information and complaints of suspected illegal drug activity occurring on the premises.
