Gurdon Go-Devils Band dominated War Memorial Stadium recently.

Band Director Allen Wimberly said, "This is bigger than the Governors Cup in Beebe. This contest deals with class and not size of your band. Therefore we had to compete with other bands in our class that were much bigger than us. Quality is more important than quantity.

"Drum Major 1, Flag Line 1, Majorette 1, Percussion 1, and Band 1, were the for Best in Class and were all earned by your Go-Devil Band. Drum Major, Majorette, Percussion, General Effect Score, Marching Score, Most Musical, Soloist, and Best in class the Mighty Gurdon High School Marching Go-Devil Band were given these honors.

"There were five other bands in our class, Hampton, Bearden, Murfreesboro, Fouke, and Bismarck. This is truly an honor for the entire school district and it's staff, community, and of course for the students who made it happen. When you see a band member say congrat's."
