Mary Helen Hollis, 64, of Magnolia, died Monday, September 29, 2003, at St. Michaels Hospital in Texarkana, Tex.

She was born October 30, 1938, in Laneburg to the late Jerry and Alta Thompson.

She was a retired Telephone Operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone, Co., a Charter member of Kilgore Lodge Community Church and a member of Velma Tucker Women's Missionary Society.

She is preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, and five sisters.

Survivors include: her husband, Buddy Hollis of Magnolia; one son, Jimmy Hollis; one daughter, Donna Ramsey and husband Doug of Magnolia; one granddaughter, Shelby Ramsey of Magnolia; three brothers, Donald Thompson and wife Rose of Millington, Mich., Vernon Thompson of Prescott, J.Y. Thompson and wife Esther of Stephens, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Thursday, October 2, 2003, at 2 p.m. at Lewis Chapel. Bro. Wayne Tompkins officiated and assisted by Bro. Ed Phillips. Burial was in Magnolia City Cemetery. Visitation was Wednesday, October 1 at Lewis Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. Memorials may be made to Kilgore Lodge Community Church.

Pallbearers were Ricky Dendy, Scott Rowland, Mike Hutchinson, Zane Glasscock, Ernie Emerson, and Ken Kelly.
